MILBURN, Circuit Judge. Defendants Barry L. Knipp and Vernon L. Hamilton appeal their jury convictions on one count of conspiracy (a) to defraud a federally insured financial institution and (b) to misapply the monies, funds, credits and securities of a federally insured financial institution in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 371, and six related counts of aiding and abetting each other in devising a scheme to defraud federally insured financial institutions in violation of 18 U.S.C. §§ 2 and 1344. On appeal, the issues are (1) whether Congress' extension of the statute of limitations from five years to ten years violates the Ex Post Facto Clause of the United States Constitution, (2) whether the district court abused its discretion in denying defendants' motions for mistrial based on the questioning of a prospective juror, (3) whether the district court erred in denying defendant Knipp's motion for a judgment of acquittal, and (4) whether the district court abused its discretion in denying defendant Knipp's motion for new trial. For the reasons that follow, we affirm.
